When she dies while trying to have an abortion, Chu goes crazy and rapes and strangles a female soldier. He rescues a young worker from being beaten for sleeping on the job and tries to incite his fellow workers. But his attempt at a riot fails and many workers are killed. Escaping death narrowly, Myung-ho makes a run for South Korea.
